On our coast, 67 seals have been disturbed this month, but the actual number may be higher."
The police and the British Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals supported the campaign. Richard fussey of Humberside County police warned: "seals look docile, but their behavior is unpredictable. They will respond instinctively out of fear. If they feel threatened, they may bite."
