CNR Kunming, August 27 (reporter Li Tengfei) on August 25, the 2021 & ldquo; National Low Carbon day & rdquo; In order to welcome the upcoming 15th Conference of the parties to the United Nations Convention on biological diversity (COP15), Kunming Ecological Environment Bureau officially launched the establishment of green low-carbon community and green low-carbon environmental education base in Changqing community, Panlong District.

In order to encourage green travel, Kunming Ecological Environment Bureau, together with Panlong District and Changqing community, carried out the plan of sharing bicycles into the community, adopted the mode of CO governance between government and enterprises, and explored a new mode of sharing bicycles for green travel, so as to reduce carbon for the city. During the event, meituan bicycle launched free riding cards and exclusive coupons, increased community investment, and did a good job in operation and maintenance guarantee to help green and low-carbon travel.
In recent years, sharing bicycles and motorcycles has provided Kunming citizens with a more convenient, efficient and low-carbon choice for medium and short distance travel. Taking meituan motorcycles as an example, Kunming users reduced 2045 tons of carbon emissions in the past year, equivalent to planting 40900 trees. At the same time, sharing bicycles and motorcycles can alleviate the pressure of urban construction space and traffic congestion, promote the establishment and improvement of a multi-level and sustainable green travel service model, and play a leading and nurturing role in citizens' green will and behavior.
